Emily graduated from the University of Delaware in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Simmons College in 2011.
Emily grew up playing field hockey and lacrosse and has continued her passion for exercise in her adult life. She has clinical experience in outpatient sports medicine, acute orthopedics, women’s health and acute care neurotrauma. The majority of Emily’s career has been spent in an outpatient sports medicine setting both as a staff physical therapist and clinic manager. Emily is a certified Women’s Health and Pelvic Floor Practitioner through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist. She has completed training for the Graston technique and Functional Dry Needling as well as attended various continuing education courses to further her knowledge. She currently practices instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization and dry needling in conjunction with manual therapy and exercise in order to return patients to their previous level of activity as quickly as possible.
Emily currently resides in Franklin, MA with her husband, Todd, three kids and black lab, Ripken.
